HVAC Equipment

Every HVAC installation must start with a consultation. We will sit down with you and find out exactly what you are looking for in concerns to indoor air quality, comfort, efficiency and aesthetic appeal. After the consultation we’ll do an in depth analysis of the space that is to be conditioned, which involves literally measuring every square inch of the building and it’s components. Once this data is collected, we run it through our software which tells us exactly how much heating and cooling we need to condition the space.  This allows us to select the correct equipment for your space.

Choosing the right size equipment increases the system’s efficiency and longevity. Our ductwork systems are also modeled using computer software program, to ensure proper balance and adequate air flow to all the different areas of the conditioned space. We sell and install a complete line of conventional ducted HVAC systems and also state-of-the-art ductless/ducted systems using Invertor Drive compressors. The Invertor Drive compressors are capable of performing in temperatures below 0°F – imagine that!

If you are looking for a reputable HVAC contractor to install your new Heating and Cooling System, we certainly hope you consider us for the job. We love making people comfortable!

Hot Water Solutions

Having a reliable source of hot water is essential – and it’s import to select a reliable water heater with the proper performance for your needs. There are a number of factors to be considered in this selection process, like knowing how many people are living in your house, what their hot water usage habits are, and what type of appliances you have. Large Jacuzzi tubs, for example, take a lot of water and most certainly need to be factored into the design.

Many times people will select their Tank Water Heater based on capacity alone, but that is only part of the equation. First hour recovery time must also be considered, and determines how quickly the water heater can recover after hot water has been drawn from the tank.

Our Tankless Water Heaters are not only very efficient, they also have other design features you may like. They have a small, built-in buffer tank that keeps a little bit of hot water available all the time and prevents what is known as “a cold water sandwich”. This term is used to describe the introduction of cold water into the hot water supply line during frequent on/off operation. When present, this effect appears as a momentary drop in hot water temperature as it is discharged from a hot water faucet.

Solar Thermal is always a good investment to make hot water! In a typical American home, hot water heating accounts for 30% of home energy usage, and a solar thermal system can provide up to 80% of that hot water for free! They can be used in combination with virtually any heating source, and can even be integrated in Hydronic Heating systems. There are also Tax Credits available to help offset the initial cost of the system.

If you want a proper solution to your hot water needs, call us. We are always happy to help!

Boilers & Hydronic (Water) Systems

Hydronic (hot water) heating systems are a largely forgotten art. There was a time when these systems were in the majority – and they are still the most comfortable! Ramer Mechanical has a passion in this forgotten art, and excels in installing and servicing these systems. With the modern technology that has become integrated into Hydronic Systems, they are extremely efficient, and can be combined with a wide variety of energy sources. GeoThermal, Heat Pumps, Natural Gas, Solar, Propane, Oil, Wood, just to name a few.

One of the most attractive and comfortable of these systems is Radiant Floor Heating. Imagine stepping out of the shower on a nice warm tile floor. It will make your toes curl with delight! When designing any of these systems we will sit down with you and figure out exactly what your comfort needs are. We are very conscious of interior aesthetics and want our systems to compliment the décor. There are many options available and we’ll make sure you get the one you want. Hydronic system installation requires a detailed Heat Loss analysis in order to properly size the equipment and design the distribution piping. We use a simple, user-friendly control system and like to keep the footprint of our installs small and simple. The technology that makes the system operate, remains quietly in the background. After the system is completed and installed we provide annual maintenance to ensure continued efficiency and comfort.

What better way to compliment your home than with a Hydronic system that give you luxurious comfort and peace of mind? We can certainly make that happen for you. Just give us a call.

Geothermal Systems

Geothermal Systems can be very efficient systems when properly designed and installed. In fact, the Federal Government will even donate 30% of the cost of the system, in an effort to reduce our countries energy consumption. When it comes to Geothermal, designing the ground loops are one of the most critical aspects of the install. The Geothermal unit uses the loops to extract heat from the ground and heat your home. In the air conditioning mode, this process reverses and it extracts heat from your home and returns it to the ground. These loops have to be carefully calculated for the proper amount of heating and cooling in your home. With Geothermal you can use traditional ducted distribution or radiant floor heating. One of our units can actually do both at the same time, and even extract heat from your house during the air conditioning mode and use that heat to warm up your pool – now that is efficient!

We use the same time proven methods to design the system as we use with Hydronics and HVAC installations – building heat loss analysis and computer modeled distribution systems. If it is Geothermal you want, give us a call.

Plumbing Systems

When it comes to plumbing systems we have a little different approach than most. One of the most important things in a plumbing system is to get water where you want it without any leaks. Once you see the tubing and connection system we use, you will understand why we have chosen Uponor Plumbing for our installs. It is simply the best! Some of the most common problems with traditional plumbing systems, are waiting for water to get hot or water turning cold when a toilet is flushed. We make sure this does not happen! Who wants to stand at a faucet and wait for hot water, or a frozen blast to interrupt their hot shower? Not to mention, all the water that is being wasted till the hot water does reach the point of use.

We also have a wide variety of water heaters, from a conventional electric to high-efficiency tankless water heaters.

If you want a plumbing system that serves you well for many years, choose Ramer Mechanical.

Electrical Systems

When it comes to residential and commercial electricity, safety is imperative. We make sure all our installations meet or exceed NEC requirements. We will install everything from the service equipment to simple receptacles in the wall. Generators, are another thing we specialize in and install a wide variety of. We can safely hookup your portable generator to the main service panel, or install a whole house generator that will automatically come on in the event of a power outage. When the power goes out these generators start and begins supplying power to the house automatically. When the power comes back on, these generators know and turn off by themselves. We also install larger commercial backup generators that function much the same way – completely automated.

If you don’t want to do without power, call Ramer Mechanical, don’t wait until the power goes off – call us today!

Motors & Automated Controls

If you have a shop or equipment that uses a lot of motors, we can install and service those motors for you. We can even build panels that make motors do exactly what you want them to do at exactly the right time. We can take Single Phase power and use a VFD to run a 3-phase motor. The VFD gives us all kinds of options to completely automate how, when and how fast the motor it is running. If you have a lot of 3-phase equipment we can install a phase convertor that will supply 3-phase power to your entire building.

There are a lot of options and we will give you the best one – just give us a call.
